Get excited for: Hobbs & Tach Bingo!

Hobbs & Tach Bingo is a game invented by and for AKS patrons. Here are the ground rules:

When you come in for a flight any day in August, please pick up a “Hobbs & Tach Bingo” card from one of the classrooms at AKS; this is where you’ll record your bingo. The cards look like this:

At the end of your flight as you record the Hobbs and tach times in Flight Schedule Pro, pay close attention to the numbers. If two or more successive digits match the specific tail number of the aircraft you are flying, you’ve won a bingo! Fill out your bingo card and drop it in the AKS mailbox (to the left of Allie’s office, pictured below) for a chance to win free weekend passes to the Central Coast AirFest (September 12th & 13th)!

Here are some examples of numbers that qualify for Hobbs & Tach Bingo:

10,871.0 (71 is in N713RE)

413.6 (41 is in N65411)

2,377.5 (37 is in N4374U)

453.4 (34 is in N734UZ)

Be sure to check your numbers at the end of your flight; Hobbs and Tach Bingos that are collected at the beginning of a flight will not be honored to avoid two pilots cashing in on the same bingo.

If you win bingo outside of office hours, please take a picture of your bingo card and email it to allie@aksaviation.net, or bring it with you to your next flight and drop it in the AKS mailbox. Hobbs & Tach Bingo will begin August 1st, 2026 and end on August 31st, 2026. Winners will be drawn and notified in the first week of September.
